Catch Bugs Nets

Nets are the backbone of Catch Bugs progression. Each upgrade unlocks heavier bugs, raises luck for rare spawns, or increases swing speed for faster farming.

The most common mistake is skipping the Royal Net to chase the Bone Net too early. Follow the upgrade path below in order.

Net upgrade path

The verified early-game route:

  1. Starter Net — Grasslands only.
  2. Fast Net (8,000) — first real upgrade; swing speed boost.
  3. Royal Net (76,000) — unlocks Moon Hollow and Deeproot Caves comfortably.
  4. Bone Net (200,000,000) — bought from Anpu in the Secret Tomb; highest luck.
  5. Scorpion Net (250,000,000) — strength for heavy Desert bugs.

Best net for your bottleneck

Missing rares you can already see? You need luck — Bone Net is the answer after the Secret Tomb.

Can see big bugs but cannot capture them? You need strength — Scorpion Net handles Colossal Sandworm and Thousand Scorpion.

Still in early zones? Fast Net then Royal Net. Do not skip ahead.

Net stats & focus types

Nets have three focus types: speed (more catches per hour), luck (higher rare spawn chance), and strength (capture weight capacity).

Endgame players typically keep both Bone Net (luck) and Scorpion Net (strength) and swap based on the target bug.

Net + lure pairing

Pair your net with a matching lure during weather events for maximum returns:

  • Bone Net + Sandstorm Lure during Sandstorm in Dune Burrow / Desert.
  • Bone Net + Solar Lure during Solar events in open zones.
  • Scorpion Net + Sandstorm Lure for heavy desert targets during events.
